Career Counselling Session was held on 26-10-2020
( Monday) with SBS students by Dr. Nidhi Singhi, DBEE Ludhiana. Dr.Nidhi Singhi is Career Counsellor at District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, Ludhiana
Dr. Nidhi Singhi conducted interactive Online Group Counselling program for the SBS Students . During the session she talked about “Career guidance” suitable for the students pursuing graduation and post graduation and looking for insights on further study options or suitable career pathways in the industry.
Students was provided with recommendations on suitable jobs occupations & roles, which will provide an understanding of their fitment across different pathways in the world of work. Dr. Nidhi enhanced knowledge of SBS students by providing useful information on education options which will help the students in making further study or upgrading their skills. This session for career guidance after graduation will provide the direction and impetus for SBS students to plan their future.
Some potential topics of discussion in career counseling session :
- Particular skills or talents. In which careers might they be useful?
- The opportunities for change or advancement in a particular career.
- The necessary skills/education for a desired career.
- Upgraded SBS students with the new technologies such as Artificial intelligence, Data mining, Python, Digital marketing, Management Information System.
