  • SBS begins “Sher-E-Punjab” title under Body Building Championship

    Physical fitness key to success, Synetic Business School organized 1st Beginner “Sher-E-Punjab” body building championship on 23rd April 2012. The event was sponsored by New Star Industry. Mr. Lovejeet Singh won Rs 11,000/- in cash and the title of “Sher-E-Punjab”.

  • UMEED – JOB FAIR 2011

    ‘UMEED’ the mega Job fair, an Annual Event was held in the SBS campus on 22nd February 2011, organized by one of the premier business school institute – Synetic Business School in which 20 companies viz.: IOL chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Ralson India, Saber Group, HDFC Life Insurance, Meera & Co, Kotak Mahindra, Met Life, Angel Broking, India Bulls, Kudu Knit Process, Dada Motors, Kapsons, Amartex, L&T Finance, Fullerton Securities, LDFO, Yogya Services and Square A seeking placements for various designations were present. More than 500 job seekers from number of colleges and institutes in and around Ludhiana were interviewed and 70 were short listed for final selection. Though Synetic Business School specializes in offering Dual Degree (PGPM +MBA) Programme, like last year a number of companies were invited to recruit graduates in different disciplines such as BBA, B.Com, B.Tech, BCA. In addition, a large number of candidates were short listed for various posts such as HR Manager, Marketing Executives, Finance executives, etc. Dr. M A Zahir, Chairman of the institute informed that for the said Job Fair 15 colleges and institute were contacted and individual messages and phone calls and emails were made to a number of job seeking candidates abreasting them about availability of various jobs. He also informed that institute shall soon be starting AICTE, PTU and other affiliated courses. The MBA students and the faculties and staff of the institute managed the Job Fair.

  • SBS STUDENTS VISIT INFOSYS

    VISIT TO INFOSYS

    It is the great privilege and honor for Synetic Business School …….B-School with a difference ,the first and the only autonomous business school of Punjab being invited  by reputed organization –Infosys’s providing an opportunity to students to participate in the  prestigious one day programme title –Spark primarily aiming at raising and building aspiration level of the students, exposure the rich of IT in daily life’s of the students ,exposing students to the world class environment and learning methodologies and promoting gender sensitive and inaloinsitive

    Students perusing dual degree programme with SBS attended the spark programme on 11th December, 2010 to Chandigarh DC Infosys Technology which was also attended by a number of other students invited from other places .The students view the presentation on corporate history ,vision ,ethics ,morals and historical achievement of infosys’s followed by presentation by senior officials of the company in various business verticals of the company ,the risk profile of method  adopted to mitigate the risk and varied field of opportunities are available to prospective students as employee ability in the company. All the students were taken for the visit to the campus, various departments with senior managers who were instrumental to explain the modern methodology of state art of tangibility and intangibility of It industry resulting in and increase awareness and clarity of students of about the role of IT in the world around them understanding what is expected from them in future if they opt to be a part of It industry. It was a really motivational and learning package for students.

    In the post lunch session students from different institutes were intermingled forming various groups to whom a business plan for a new IT Company on bakeries was assigned to be followed by a group presentation out of which the three best group where to be selected .It was a really great honor that students of SBS head by Mr.Vinod Kumar and Mr.Sudev Das were awarded by the jury as second and fourth positions under group category.

    The management of SBS a Student really appreciate the gesture and a step towards social responsibility of infosys’s Limited ,really resulting in competitive talent development among students to face the global fastest changing environment ,particularly in IT industry ,thus making students interest to face such similar other types of exposures .

  • World’s Largest Bicycle Manufacturing Co’s Plant, 13 Sep 2010

    Ludhiana, 13 Sep 201o: The students of first year and second year Dual Degree MBA and students of Irvine University-SBS BBA and MBA along with faculty of SBS visited HERO CYCLES LIMITED, Head Office Plant, situated at GT Road, Ludhiana.

    Hero Cycles hold  the Guiness Book World Record as the world’s largest bicycle producer.

    SBS ensures that its students have frequent industry visits to see the production processes and understand the management and operations of organisation, first hand.

    During the visit the student visited the shop floor, paint shop, rim plant, electroplating plant, and the bicycle assembly plant. There was a question and answer session with the Plant Manager.

  • Cluster Consortia Formation with Zyan Education Trust

    SBS engaged with Apex Cluster, Ludhiana for this project which is sponsored by the world bank. The objectives of this project will be;

     

    1. To make a database of available female/ male operators (trained or untrained) from rural & surrounding areas who are interested in working with Knitwear core & allied industries.

     

    1. To arranging placements as and when required by the industry.

     

    1. Signing of  MOU  with different Trade and Business Associations , Industries  for manpower requirement. ( Annexure – )

     

    1. To create a  portal to  provide information about this activity &  to popularize the data  base.

     

    1. Signing  MOU  with NGOs, charitable institutions  for providing Manpower  to cater the needs of the industry.

     

    1. To create a database of  1000-1500  operators to meet the objectives.

  • Industrial visit to Kandhari Beverages (P) Ltd.

    Students of SBS visited Kandhari Bevereges (P) Ltd., in Baddi (H.P).  The team was accompanied with Senior Lecturer Mr. Damanpreet Singh and Miss. Irfana Qadri. Kandhari Beverage is a franchise unit of Coke. Students monitored the logistics models adopted by the company through out north and west part of India.
