In conversation with Nansi Mishra, A Co-founder of 100x Entrepreneur
Balance isn’t about getting to do everything. It’s about getting to do the things you love without compromising elsewhere. That’s the key to a successful work-life relationship.
– Nansi Mishra
Nansi Mishra is a co-founder of 100x Entrepreneur and mother of a baby who hustles to make her dream a reality. She is an inspiration to many moms out there who want to restart their professional journey. She proves that If you are passionate about your work, no hurdle can stop you.
Let’s get to know about Nansi’s entrepreneurship journey from her itself,
1. Tell us something about 100x Entrepreneur? What do you do and how does it work?
100x Entrepreneur is India’s leading startup podcast. We have hosted 120+ guests including Kunal Bahl (Founder, Snapdeal & Titan Capital), Rajan Anandan (Managing Partner, Sequoia India capital), Ashwini Ashokan (Founder, Mad Street Den), among others. 100x Entrepreneur is also among the top 15 podcasts in Asia in the Business category.
2. What served as the inspiration to start your own venture?
The idea of connecting with successful entrepreneurs/Venture capitalists and sharing their stories with people to help them become 100x of themselves served as an inspiration to start 100x Entrepreneur.
3. What roadblocks did you face when you were starting out?
Reaching out to early guests was very challenging. Finding the best tools to record the podcast was difficult. But the most challenging part was distribution. People still prefer to watch entertaining videos rather than listening to deep content.
4. How does it feel to be a mompreneur and How do you balance things?
It’s definitely challenging to manage both work and the baby. But it has really helped me discover myself. It feels great to have found your purpose. And hustling for something you are passionate about is transforming because all the time you are focusing on moving forward. Since the baby is small, I dedicate less time to work and more time to be with him. But the time I spend on my work is the most focused time. That’s the key.
5. What books and movies would you suggest?
I recommend listening to podcasts. It’s a deep form of content where you only focus on the speaker’s voice. There are some good podcasts that can help you grow and learn about different topics like Seen Unseen by Amit Verma, Podcast By Tim Ferris, and of course 100x Entrepreneur where you can learn from the most successful entrepreneurs and investors.
6. What is that one piece of advice, would like to give to our audience/readers?
I believe that balance isn’t about getting to do everything. It’s about getting to do the things you love without compromising elsewhere. That’s the key to a successful work-life relationship.
