INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO COOPERATIVE SUGAR MILL BUDHEWAL
Ludhiana, Feb. 11, 2019. Synetic Business School organized an industrial visit to Sugar Mill Budhewal, Ludhiana for its students and faculty. More than 200 students of Commerce, Management and Computer Science Department visited the industry along with faculty members. The production head of the plant, Chankour Singh guided the students and explained the manufacturing process. The students first visited the Cutting and roller Milling Unit. After that, the students visited the Boiling and Sugar Processing units. At last, the students visited at sugar warehouse where the store manager explained about inventory management.
The students learned about the production and operation management, inventory management, procurement of raw material and waste management. The students were thrilled to observe the implementation of the theoretical concepts that formed a part of their operations research, total quality management, and other functional subjects and got first-hand practical knowledge of a working business organization in the manufacturing sector. The company officials informed the students regarding the technical processes involved in the manufacturing of their products like cutting, grinding, mixing and packaging.
At the end of the industrial visit, the company officials were honored with a token of gratitude and respect by the college students and faculties.
