Three students Team got shortlisted for TiE Business Plan Incubator in 2021. Background and expertise of faculty members make it’s easy to have a big pool of mentors for ACIC. Students, for any institute form a strong base for a strong pipeline of incubatees when we start an ACIC.
State of the art infrastructure spread over 6.5 acres area, 1.5 acres of covered area, with digital classrooms, computer and textile design labs, and library. The campus building is being expanded since March 2021 with 10,000 Sq feet of new library, classrooms and state-of-the art Laboratory. Sound infrastructure helps to get steady growth of innovation, basic requirement of ACIC to get steady inflow of incubatees.
The institute is situated in the heart of the Industrial belt of Ludhiana, which is the know for its textile/hosiery; light engineering; logistic warehouses; agro-based and bicycle clusters. Therefore, the location of the institute amongst the different trade and industrial hub clusters makes its easily accessible. Innovators can easily conduct customers discovery by interacting with companies located there, test hypothesis for problems, develop minimum viable products and test for acceptance. Which encourage more product and technology development to address key issues of different companies located there, who can use platform of ACIC for verification and validation and scale up.
Established an active Entrepreneurship Cell organizing different events for budding entrepreneurs, innovators, students of the institute on entrepreneurship. Helping to tie up with partners from industry and academia. Selected as PI for Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, adopted villages, empowering them for livelihood innovation in organic farming, rainwater harvesting, rural infra, etc. Present entrepreneurship development activities help ACIC to get a strong pipeline of incubatees.
Having a big network of professionals, academic institutions, research organizations, government and non-government institutions, Corporate in India and outside of India for innovation, Research for collaborative development. In collaboration with Modern Technology and Management Institute (MTMI), USA, publishing a Bi-Annual International Journal of Effective Management. It is published online in the USA and in print form in India. A peer-reviewed journal listed in the Cabell’s Directory in Management, Vol. II 2004-05 and 2006-2007. This Journal is also listed in Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory. ISSN# Online 1547-3708; CD ROM 1547-3694; Print 1547-3686. An asset which help to get many program partners, partners for co-incubation or co-creation opportunities apart from having as anchor tenants for ACIC.
Institute has an active research & development cell for industry, farming and social sector research. Have a strong base for enterprise development through students mentored by faculty members which in turn helps ACIC to get a strong pipeline of incubatees.
The institute is working with farm machinery manufacture for development of patent for Land Preparation equipment and harvesting machines that eliminates the problem of stubble burning.
The newly established textile designing department is working to promote natural organic dyes, printing and handloom industries
