Happy Maha Shivratri-2014
The chairman of the institute Dr.M.A. Zahir greeted the students of the institute on the ocassion of Maha Shivratri
Paramjit singh(Assistant-Professor) briefed that Maha Shivratri is a Hindu festival celebrated every year in reverence of Lord Shiva. It marks the convergence of Shiva and Shakti. Maha Shivratri is celebrated on the Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi of Hindu calendar month Maagha which falls in February or March as per the Gregorian calendar.
The festival is principally celebrated by offerings of Bael or golden apple or Bilva/Vilvam leaves to Lord Shiva, all-day fasting and an all-night-long vigil (jagarana). All through the day, devotees chant “Om Namah Shivaya”, a sacred Panchakshara mantra dedicated to Lord Shiva. In accordance with scriptural and discipleship traditions, penances are performed in order to gain boons in the practice of Yoga and meditation, in order to reach life’s highest good steadily and swiftly.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WERE BRIEFED ABOUT THE WAY THE DEMOCRACY WORKS IN INDIA. STUDENTS FROM TEN REPUBLICS PARTICIPATED IN THE SEMINAR. AS MOST OF THEM WERE FROM YOUNG AND NEW DEMOCRACIES, THE INDIAN SYSTEM OF ELECTIONS WAS A BREATHTAKING EXPERIENCE FOR THEM. THE INTERNATIONAL CONGLOMERATE OF STUDENTS APPRECIATED THE FACT THAT DESPITE BEING A NATION OF THOUSAND LANGUAGES, COMMUNITIES AND RELIGION ELECTIONS SHE HAS BEEN HOLDING ELECTIONS REGULARLY SINCE HER INDEPENDENCE PEACEFULLY, A LESSON TO OTHER DEMOCRACIES IN THE WORLD.

Synetic Business School organized a football tournament which was held on 31st Jan 2014.The match was played between seniors and juniors.SBS has constructed football ground,as the game is very popular amongst international students.Students of Uganda,Ghana,Sierra-Leone,Lesotho,Cape-verde,Tanzania,Niger,Ghana,Syria,Angola and Afghanistan participated.The match won by the juniors.Participants were given certificates of merit and winning trophy. -
