It is our pleasure to inform you that International Resource Center – Universal Human Values & Ethics (IRC-UHVE) of I K Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, is going to organise one week workshop on Data Analytics, from June 7 to 12, 2016, in association with Science and Engineering Research Board (Department of Science and Technology), New Delhi. The focus of the workshop will be on basics of Research Methodology, Preparing research problem and questionnaire, Descriptive Statistics, Hypothesis testing, Regression, Factor Analysis, Structural Equation Modelling using SPSS, etc. It is pertinent to mention that these are among the most sought after statistical techniques in present times.

CAREER COUNSELLING SEMINARS
SEMINAR ON CAREER COUNSELLING
With the board results out, it’s time for hundreds of students to take the right decision regarding their career and future. The choice of subjects play a very important role as they can make or break a student’s future. In a bid to help young minds make the right choice regarding subjects and institutes, Synetic Business School hosted Mission Admission seminars at various schools the past week.
Students got a chance to interact with various counselling experts at the seminar. Such one-to-one sessions addressed individual needs of students and provided guidance for various career opportunities and the subjects and courses that helped them achieve their dreams.
The seminar besides talking about subjects and institutes also integrated discussions on prominent themes like how to improve students’ performance during campus interviews and comparing various career options available to them. It was moderated by Assistant Professor Ajaypal Singh. The discussion was guided by alumni who go for pre-placement talks and campus recruitment. They counselled students to be confident and yet focus on minute details that might help them clinch the job. They also shared valuable viewpoints about their expansion, hurdles, milestones, career transitions, balancing family and career, and values and ethics.
