(BCA & MCA) and Engineering Diploma Holders from various colleges for their manufacturing and allied functions like Sales, Accounts/Finance, HR, Admin, back-office, etc.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO COOPERATIVE SUGAR MILL BUDHEWAL
Ludhiana, Feb. 11, 2019. Synetic Business School organized an industrial visit to Sugar Mill Budhewal, Ludhiana for its students and faculty. More than 200 students of Commerce, Management and Computer Science Department visited the industry along with faculty members. The production head of the plant, Chankour Singh guided the students and explained the manufacturing process. The students first visited the Cutting and roller Milling Unit. After that, the students visited the Boiling and Sugar Processing units. At last, the students visited at sugar warehouse where the store manager explained about inventory management.
The students learned about the production and operation management, inventory management, procurement of raw material and waste management. The students were thrilled to observe the implementation of the theoretical concepts that formed a part of their operations research, total quality management, and other functional subjects and got first-hand practical knowledge of a working business organization in the manufacturing sector. The company officials informed the students regarding the technical processes involved in the manufacturing of their products like cutting, grinding, mixing and packaging.
At the end of the industrial visit, the company officials were honored with a token of gratitude and respect by the college students and faculties.
Dr. ZafarZahir, M.D., Synetic Business School, quoted, “such sort of industrial excursions add up to the practical knowledge and exposure to the students since mere bookish knowledge doesn’t serve the entire purpose. Experiential learning helps the students in better understanding and appreciating the management and technical functions of the manufacturing industry.”

Need for Industry Connect: SBS in NEWS
There needs to be a stronger connect and interaction between SME’s as well as educational institutes, especially management institutes, so that youths attain industry-related skills and industry and business get trained workforce and staff, said educationists. Students should be made to cultivate inclination for culture and literature, in the New Year for the development of holistic and well-rounded personality, they said.
Dr Zafar Zahir, principal of Synetic Business School, said it was important for teachers as well as professors to serve as role models. He also added that in the New Year, youth should be equipped with the in-demand and industry-related practical skills.

Dr. Zafar Zahir comes from the reputed family of Management Guru Dr. M.A. Zahir. Dr.Zafar is the cofounder of Zayn Educational Trust in year 2004 – with an aim to bring professional education – to the grassroots of the Indian society. He currently serves as Managing Director and Honorary Principal at Synetic Business School. Industrial Visit by SBS Students at Coca Cola Bottling Plant
Synetic Business School (SBS)students of B.Com visited the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant – Ludhiana Beverages to have a firsthand exposure to manufacturing process and operations of one of the world largest and most renowned brand Coca-Cola. Ms. Geeta Rani, Vice-Principal, SBS, and Mr. Jasvir, Librarian. Mr. Harpreet Singh accompanied the students. The Quality Head of the plant guided the students about the manufacturing process of beverages during the visit. Mr. Sandeep, HR Head, motivated the students and told them that set your aim and hit your target then you will definitely achieve your goal. The students enjoyed the industrial visit and acquired practical knowledge about production and manufacturing process. The students share their views and ideas about the visit. It is one of the missions of SBS that students get practical exposure to the industry and that they can relate the concepts and theory taught in the class with practice for better understanding and acquisition of applied knowledge.
