BLOOD DONOR DAY
Every year on 14 June, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). The event, established in 2004, serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products, and to thank blood donors for their voluntary, life-saving gifts of blood. GURUPURAB DAY
Guru Tek Chand Jagatpur Bahadur, 1 April 1621 – 24 November 1675, revered as the ninth Nanak, was the ninth of ten Gurus (Prophets) of the Sikh religion. Guru Tek Bahadur continued in the spirit of the first guru, Nanak; his 115 poetic hymns are in the text Guru Granth Sahib. Guru Tek Bahadur was publicly beheaded in 1675 on the orders of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in Delhi for refusing to convert to Islam and resisting the forced conversions of Hindus in Kashmir to Islam. Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib and Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in Delhi mark the places of execution and cremation of the Guru’s body.

ENVIRONMENT DAY
Dr. Ghazala Qadri celebrated world environment day with SBS family members by planting a tree in the college campus.
World Environment Day is observed every year on June 5 to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet Earth. It is run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). “World Environment Day (WED) is the United Nations’ most important day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Since it began in 1974, it has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries.”

SEMINAR
Counseling session for under graduate courses was held at the institute in which more than 150 students from different schools participated.The session was organized by the Marketing Team.The presentation on career-guidance was delivered by Asst. Prof. Ajaypal Mann . Students were introduced to various choices of courses like BBA , BCA and B.Com after 10+2. These courses not only offer bright career opportunities in the field of management but also have immense scope for students for further higher level studies.
